Definitions

One year of study will be defined as equivalent to at least 45 quarter units in the CSUSB’s credit system
During the first year of the program, Chinese students will complete their freshmen year in one of the Chinese partner universities.

In the second and third years of the program, Chinese students will travel to the United States to complete their sophomore and junior years at CSUSB.

In the fourth year of the program, students will return to China to finish their senior year at the Chinese Partner University.

TOEFL Test and English Language Program
Students are not required to take the TOEFL test before applying for admission; however, they must take the TOEFL or other diagnostic English test as soon as they arrive on campus. Students who do not meet the minimum English requirements (TOEFL score of 500 or its equivalent) will be enrolled in the English as a Second Language program before they can take academic classes in their chosen major. The students who do not pass the English test after a year of English language study will have to return to China.
