CSUSB Undergraduate Studies: Learning Center
TUTOR APPLICATION PROCESS
To apply for a tutoring position with the CSUSB Learning Center, the following criteria MUST be met:
- Have a "B" or better in every subject you are willing to tutor.
- Have a 3.0 cumulative GPA.
- Have completed one full quarter at CSUSB.
If you meet the above criteria, you may submit the Tutor Application and the Availability Sheet. A Faculty Recommendation Form must accompany your application material. Deliver the Tutor Application and Availability Sheet to the Learning Center (UH-351). The Faculty Recommendation Form may be returned to you to deliver, but in most cases the department will deliver the form. Once the Tutor Coordinator receives all the material, you will be contacted for an interview when a position becomes available.
Tutor Application: The application is available for you to print and complete in ink, or you can type onto the form itself.
Availability Sheet: Indicate the times you are available to work.
Faculty Recommendation Form: You must take a form to each department for which you wish to tutor. A faculty member must approve your appointment as a tutor. If you are not familiar with any of the faculty, you may meet with any of the instructors so that he/she may assess your ability in the subject(s) you wish to tutor.
